IT Standards

An enterprise such as UNM requires a variety of governing directives to successfully deliver IT services to the community of students, faculty and staff. In turn, the same governing directives enable the community of students, faculty, and staff to use IT services at UNM in an appropriate, ethical, and lawful manner. Whether a UNM Policy, an IT Operational Procedure or Guideline, or a standard developed by IT groups across campus, all these governing directives work in concert to further the the education, research, and public services mission of the University.

Groups across campus, including IT, are engaged in developing IT standards for the effective use of technology across all UNM campuses. Standards may be requested through the IT Strategic Advisory Committee, or from the Office of the CIO. View the IT Standards Process flowchart. Discuss.UNM is an online forum established by the Office of the CIO to engage the University community in discussion about our Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Standards for Enterprise operations at UNM.
